Suffolk exec's King kudos: Video in context

GOP Rep. Peter King's district shifted last year to more Suffolk and less Nassau, which some Democrats have spotted as a challenge to the veteran incumbent's future. What better boost could King, of Seaford, therefore receive than the elaborate kudos posted below, from the Democratic Suffolk executive Steve Bellone's annual State of the County address, during which King sat noticeably alongside Democratic chairman Richard Schaffer?

On Wednesday, King issued to his supporters a video link to the Bellone remarks (embedded below, as broadcast by News 12) in which the congressman stated: "I was proud to work with Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone to secure crucial Hurricane Sandy aid for New York. Which is why it was humbling to hear the county executive's kind words regarding my efforts during his State of the County address last night."

King is the Long Island House delegation's only majority member, so his position will be highlighted on such matters. Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo also tends to deliver a regular dose of cross-partisan cordiality to King.
