U.S. Senate primary: Light turnout reported
One upstater sharing his GOP voting experience today said he was No. 8 at his polling site early this afternoon and the workers on hand were betting whether the total for the day would be over or under 30 participants. The upstater -- with a good deal of background in political races himself -- speculated that turnout would fall below 5 percent at the end of the day and that it certainly wouldn't break double-digits.
