George Hoffman, a veteran governmental aide, has landed a job as deputy executive director of the Brookhaven Industrial Development Agency, a post that pays about $90,000 a year.

Stuart Chapman left his job two weeks ago as chief of staff for Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-Mineola) to pursue other opportunities, McCarthy aides said Friday.
