Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph Conway, now a criminal defense attorney in private practice in Mineola, appears to have eliminated  any obstacles to taking the job of Nassau District Attorney Kathleen Rice, a Democrat elected to Congress-- if another Democrat, Gov. White House: No rescheduled Obama visit to LI before election

President Barack Obama is back on the money trail, making forays to appear at fundraisers in Rhode Island and Wisconsin, but a White House aide said he won't make it to Long Island for a rescheduled visit before the election on Nov. 4.
