Long Beach City Councilman Anthony Eramo is scheduled to declare his candidacy on Tuesday for the Assembly seat from which Assemb. Harvey Weisenberg (D-Long Beach) is retiring at the end of the year.

Previously, Democrat Todd Kaminsky declared, drawing Weisenberg's endorsement. In a news release, Eramo, emphasizing that he is "focused on Sandy recovery," says he'll officially announce at noon on the Long Beach boardwalk. He's a member of CWA Local 1106 and is active in community organizations.
