Republican gubernatorial candidate Rob Astorino considered Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray as a running mate, though she won’t be joining the ticket, sources said.

Astorino, the Westchester County executive, has yet to settle on a lieutenant governor candidate. He’s reportedly also talked to Assemb. Jane Corwin (R-Clarence) and Assemb. Nicole Malliotakis (R-Staten Island). Both have said they won’t run for the job.

Murray didn’t return a call seeking comment.

“We are not commenting on any names,” Astorino spokeswoman Jessica Proud said in an email.
