Republican gubernatorial candidate Rob Astorino considered Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray as a running mate, though she wont be joining the ticket, sources said.

Astorino, the Westchester County executive, has yet to settle on a lieutenant governor candidate. Hes reportedly also talked to Assemb. Jane Corwin (R-Clarence) and Assemb. Nicole Malliotakis (R-Staten Island). Both have said they wont run for the job.

Murray didnt return a call seeking comment.

We are not commenting on any names, Astorino spokeswoman Jessica Proud said in an email.
