Brookhaven Conservative Party officials on Monday will screen contenders in the upcoming special election for town supervisor likely to be held on Electon Day.

Kenneth Auerbach, town board chairman, said that the party’s executive committee will screen Suffolk Legis. Edward Romaine (R-Center Moriches), Republican Tax Receiver Louis Marcoccia, and Democrat Brian Beedenbender who has already been recomended by his party’s executive committee for the nomination.

The screening will be held at the Portuguese-American Club in Farmingville. Earlier the GOP executive committee is expected to recommend Romaine as the Republican candidate at a meeting in the Medford party headquarters.
