Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo reached out to a known entity when his administration hired a criminal defense lawyer to represent it in a probe regarding the governor's anti-corruption commission.

The Cuomo administration hired Elkan Abramowitz. He also serves as a trustee to the Long Island Power Authority, appointed by Cuomo in 2013.
