Ahead of her anticipated run for state attorney general, Nassau District Attorney Kathleen Rice on Monday named new staffers to join the planned campaign.

Robin Chappelle Golston, former director of community affairs for U.S. Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand and Hillary Clinton, will be political director. The veteran has also advised U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) Cong. Charles Rangel (D-Manhattan) and state Assemb. Daniel O’Donnell (D-Manhattan).

New fundraisers include Kristie Stiles, Celeste Wolter and Michael Giacco, a group that helped build war chests for Gov. David Paterson and former Gov. Eliot Spitzer as well as in national campaigns.

Rice bulked up her finance team by adding former New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine and presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton’s finance teams member Rafi Jafri as well as Adam Alonso, who served with the campaigns of comptroller candidate Melinda Katz and state Sen. Jose Peralta (D-East Elmhurst).
 

The new deputy communications director is former state Democratic Senate Campaign Committee spokesman Shams Tarek, who has worked for state Senators Andrea Stewart-Cousins (D-Yonkers), Jeff Klein (D-Westchester/Bronx) and Craig Johnson (D-Port Washington).
