As issues lobbying and campaign-finance issues continue to simmer at the state Capitol, two watchdogs now are questioning whether pro-Cuomo ads funded by the state Democratic Party violate the lobbying law.
The party has bankrolled recent ads that tell New Yorkers to urge their legislators to support parts of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo's agenda, including a package of ethics laws and a proposal to provide tax credits to companies that locate on or near State University of New York campuses.
