Such is the stuff of a convention: Andrew Cuomo, now the nominee in Rye Brook, pitched the Democrats as historic problem-solvers – FDR with the depression and war, LBJ with the Great Society. Former Gov. Mario Cuomo, who he greeted, was said by his son to have “led the charge against federal abandonment” and serving as “an icon for principle and integrity.”
As for the public, he said the “loss of trust” by the public in their government “is even more important to us” as Democrats “because nothing works without trust.”
