From a cab en route to the convention hall, Yancey Roy tells us that traffic is completely blocked, going nowhere, as a motorcade passes.  Also in the cab is Jay Jacobs, Nassau Democratic chairman who recognizes the motorcade as presidential with its special flags, preceded by motorcycles and followed by ambulances. "I know that's it," he says.

So now, there's speculation that President Barack Obama will come out on stage after wife Michelle's speech. That's how the Republicans did it last week, with Mitt Romney joining Ann Romney following her address.

Update: Looks as if the cars pulled into the Marriott Park South, a few blocks from where the N.Y. delegation is housed.
