Ex-exec Levy's Hauppauge think tank holds a fundraiser

Suffolk County Executive Steve Levys Center for Cost Effective Government is holding its first fundraiser to keep the Hauppauge-based think tank going.

The $125 a head event $250 for couples, will be held Sept. 18 a Lombardis on the Bay in Patchogue and will feature several local GOP state senators including Kenneth LaValle, Lee Zeldin, Phil Boyle and Jack Martins. Levy hopes for a crowd of about 100.

Levy said proceeds will go to putting on a researcher at the center, some money will be donated to the Huntington Breast Cancer Coalition and other funds will help pay his own $30,000 a year stipend as the centers executive director.
