Patrick Foye, former top economic-development official during the Spitzer administration, is said to be preparing to join the new Mangano administration in Nassau as a deputy county executive.

Foye declined to comment when contacted. On a short-term assignment, he's headed Mangano's efforts to reassess the property assessment system in Nassau.

Until last year, Foye and Mangano worked in the same major law firm, Rivkin Radler, in Uniondale. Among his other private-sector roles, Foye has served as CEO of the United Way of Long Island and on the boards of the Long Island Power Authority and the Long Island Association.
