Funeral services will be held tomorrow in Queens for Emanuel R. Gold, 77, an attorney and former Democratic State Senator who long represented the Forest Hills area. He died Thursday.

Gold was widely known as author of the “Son of Sam” law which bars criminals in the state from profiting from their crimes, such as through books. He’d also been deputy minority leader in the Senate, where he served from 1971 to 1998. Last April, it was announced that he’d joined the law firm Jaspan Schlesinger based in Garden City.

Services will be held at Parkside Memorial Chapels, 98-60 Queens Boulevard, Rego Park, on Sunday at 12:45 p.m.
