As to Democratic state Chairman Jay Jacobs' admonition that the Ford and Gillibrand camps ought to focus on issues and not pot-shots, Ford spokesman Davidson Goldin said that Ford would run for Senate "as an independent Democrat" and "looks forward to a campaign that focuses on important issues such as job creation."
