Riverhead Supervisor Sean Walter was beaten last week in his bid for county legislature, but ex-Legis. Ed Romaine’s top aide, who Walter was ready to cut loose if elected, landed safely on the eve of the special election in a new job in Brookhaven.

Bill Faulk started last Monday as executive assistant to town planning commissioner Tullio Bertoli.  Faulk will make $70,000 in the new job. The veteran aide had been making $81,900 in Romaine’s office, where he worked for 11 years.
