David Mejias, the Farmingdale Democrat who lost his Nassau legislative seat last year to Republican Joe Belesi, appears poised to return to the fray. He's expected to be nominated Tuesday to oppose Sen. Kemp Hannon (R-Garden City) -- something Mejias had been angling to do in 2007,  before a publicized dispute with Nassau Democratic leader Jay Jacobs. This year Jacobs looks like he's behind him all the way. Democrats have been talking about a successful challenge to Hannon for years.
