Republicans expected to be at the top of the party’s ticket this fall have signaled that they pushing to woo Hispanic voters, a road the party hasn’t traveled much since the days of ex-Gov. George “Jorge” Pataki.

  Gubernatorial candidate Rob Astorino, earlier this year, addressed a Bronx crowd in Spanish during his kickoff announcement and attended Somos el Futuro, the annual gathering of Hispanic lawmakers.

  John Cahill, who is expected to run for attorney general, last week penned an essay in El Diario, in Spanish, supporting the so-called Dream Act, which would allow children of undocumented immigrants to receive state aid for college tuition.
