While Islip Supervisor Tom Croci battled his fellow board members and party leaders over town patronage issues, it turns out the supervisor’s sister has a patronage job of her own.

Croci’s sister, Kristina Inserillo, works as an aide to State Sen. Charles Fuschillo (R-Merrick) where she makes $24,090 a year.

Croci, himself a former aide to State Sen. Lee Zeldin (R-Shirley) said he played no role in his sister getting the job but said she has been working for Fuschillo part-time since May after she was excessed from a teaching job.

Fuschillo spokesman Chris Schneider praised Inserillo as “an awesome worker. It’s great to have her on the team.”
