Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy is using Tea Party activist Steve Flanagan, founder of Conservative Society for Action, in mailings upstate to convince Republicans and dissident Conservatives to back his bid for governor.

Flanagan said Levy got a 93.7 percent rating from his group when he screened earlier this month, only second to ex-CIA man Gary Berntsen, who is now running for U.S. Senate. Another GOP contender Carl Paladino got a 71 rating and Rick Lazio, according to Flanagan has failed to screen despite numerous requests.
