Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy says his wife Colleen supports his bid for governor, but even though she made dozens donations to Republicans and Democrats including Tom Suozzi,  she has never given a dime to her husband’s campaign.
Mrs. Levy’s firm, Enright Court Reporters Inc. based in Sayville, has given more than $13,000 in donations, mainly to Democrats. Her largest contributions totalling $4,000 went to Suozzi the former Nassau County Executive, who is now an employee of Cablevision which owns Newsday. She has also given to $1,500 to Babylon Supervisor Steve Bellone, $1,000 to Islip Supervisor Philip Nolan and Islip Democrats and $1,800 to Huntington Democrat Party and its candidiates.
However, her firm also gave $250 to former Republican Islip town  board member Pamela Greene, who ran for supervisor and is now now Levy’s county’s director of real estate, is a personal friend of the couple and she is married to Michael Dawidziak, Levy campaign advisor.
Enright also gave $400 to Republican Brookhaven town board member Timothy Mazzei when he ran for town supervisor last year against Mark Lesko. A Levy spokesman said Mrs. Levy also gave a donation to Lesko, but it does not show up on campaign filings.
Levy said he plays no role in his wife political contributions. “She is a successful businesswoman who has a right to give to anyone she desires, without other politicians making something negative about it,” he said.
