Anti-tax activists are urging a strong turnout for a forum on school taxes Wednesday night at the Huntington Hilton.

Scheduled speakers include Suffolk County Executive (and Republican candidate for governor) Steve Levy and Assemb. Michael Fitzpatrick (R-St. James.)

The event runs from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the hotel, at 598 Broad Hollow Road (Route 110) in Melville.

The Nassau County Civic Association has this to say about the event on its Web site:

* Understand how the tax nightmare was created … Tenure, Tri-borough, Taylor, Wicks, Pensions, etc.

* End the myths! … Unions don’t take cuts, It’s the parent’s fault, class size, curriculum and testing.

* Listen to your ideas and answer your questions.

* Form a strategy that will allow homeowners to live here without fear of losing their homes or family.
