Long Island Power Authority and National Grid executives will get their chance to testify Thursday in Islip before the state panel investigating how public utilities have handled major storms in the past two years, including Tropical Storm Irene and superstorm Sandy.
The Moreland Commission on Utility Storm Preparation and Response will hear from LIPA and National Grid executives at a hearing slated for 6 p.m. at Touro College’s Fuschberg Law Center, 225 Eastview Dr. in Central Islip.
No public testimony will be taken.
Public testimony was taken at hearings in Manhattan and Old Westbury. Residents will get more chances to provide input Dec. 26 in Staten Island and Dec. 27 in the Rockaways, Queens.
