Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano continues his behind-the-scenes attempt to get back in sync with his Assessment Review Team.

The ART panel is supposed to help him get a grip on how to reform the property tax assessment system, but the private citizens on the panel have been in open revolt.

Mangano trekked out to Syosset on Tuesday to meet with Brad Blumenfeld and his ART colleagues at the office of the Blumenfeld Development Group, sources said. They’ve scheduled another meeting Wednesday at Mangano’s offices in Mineola, the sources said.

Mangano has put part of his legislative package on hold as the talks continue. At his request, the Nassau County Legislature did not take up on Monday, as scheduled, a bill meant to speed the settlement of overassessment claims by commercial owners.
