Thought New York City’s attempt to ban large-sized sodas ended when Michael Bloomberg left the mayor’s office? Think again.

The de Blasio administration has picked up the fight, taking up an appeal with New York’s highest court. On Wednesday, city officials asked the Court of Appeals to reinstate the ban -- which had been struck down by lower courts -- arguing the city has the right to restrict products that make people obese and contribute to disease.
