Saturday night marked the last Inner Circle show featuring Michael Bloomberg as mayor.
The title of the press send-up was "The Last Gulp" based on the soda-ban controversy. For his response, Bloomberg brought in casts from "Annie," "The Phantom of the Opera," "Nice Work If You Can Get It" and "Rock of Ages."
Bloomberg in one sketch invented an app that reminds him to be in town for blizzards. Earlier, the "Last Gulp" featured the Bloomberg character (Andrew Siff) singing "Irreplaceable . . . that’s what I am" to the tune of "Unforgettable."
The evening opened with Joe Pisco singing "New York, New York" Sinatra-style.
