Steve Levy just came out of a long, closed-door meeting with Assembly Republicans...and headed into a private session with Senate Minority Leader Dean Skelos (R-Rockville Centre). They'll be meeting with the Senate Republicans in a few minutes.

The buzz seemed positive - "Very interesting!" one assembly member said to another quietly on the way out.

Levy said his goal for today's session was to establish a "comfort level" with the Republicans, especially those upstate who don't know him well.
