Ann Romney appeared to come out on top among New Yorkers on the day after she and New Jersey Chris Christie both addressed the GOP Convention last night.
A mention of her speech drew louder applause than the mention of the keynote address by Christie at a breakfast for the New York and Puerto Rican delegation this morning.
"She did a phenomenal job," said Rep. Pete King (R-Seaford), saying that while she was speaking he felt "it was electric in the hall."
State Assemblyman Phil Boyle (R-East Islip) agreed. "Ann Romney knocked it out of the park," he said.
But Christie has big fans in Nassau County GOP chair Joe Mondello and state Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos (R-Rockville Center). Skelos called it a "Northeast-New Jersey-New York speech."
