Schimel, anti-gun violence coalition head to D.C.

A coalition of state legislators, including Assemb. Michelle Schimel (D-Great Neck), will head to Washington, D.C., Friday to press for tougher federal gun laws.

Schimel and Sen. Eric Adams (D-Brooklyn) will the group of New York State Legislators Against Illegal Guns, which is slated to meet with the state’s congressional delegation and anti-gun violence groups.

Schimel has been the Legislature's most vocal proponent of microstamping.
