Sen. Chuck Schumer insists he is not running for president, but he is going to be the keynote speaker at the Iowa Democrats' Jefferson Jackson Dinner in Iowa on Nov. 2.

The Jefferson Jackson dinner, held in Des Moines, has hosted many presidential hopefuls, including Al Gore, Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton, and it’s a good entree into the first state to hold a presidential popularity contest through its caucus system.

The Iowa Democrats posted a news release about it on their website Thursday, (http://www.iowademocrats.org/2013/09/11153/), and Schumer had fun joking about how his aspiration for the highest office in the land was crushed when he was a young teenager.
