Top court: Part-time NYers can get pistol permits

New York's top court ruled Tuesday that part-time New Yorkers can get handgun permits here.

In a 7-0 ruling, the state Court of Appeals said state pistol permits aren't limited to full-time state residents.

Alfred Osterweil, who has a vacation home west of Albany but resides in Louisiana, had filed a federal lawsuit after a Schoharie County judge refused his handgun license application.
