When mobster 'Big Paul' Castellano was shot along with an associate in Manhattan nearly 30 years ago, the news broke in his home borough of Staten Island as if a powerful figure had been assassinated. The impression was only amplified by the fact that Castellano, as widely noted many times over the years, had lived in a house he had crafted to look like the White House in the Island's exclusive enclave up on Todt Hill.

Now Staten Island journalist Jim Callaghan breaks the news on BuzzFeed that Castellano's former residence -- now owned by a businessman -- who he notes had nothing to do with the late crime boss -- is due to be the location Wednesday for a fundraiser for presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
