Reenactment of Children's Crusade march

Civil rights pioneers Janice Kelsey and Gwendolyn Gamble were honored on Saturday, May 3, 2014, on Long Island on the 51st anniversary of the Children's Crusade. As teens in May 1963, Kelsey and Gamble were among students who were met with violence and arrest as they marched in Birmingham, Ala., to speak with their mayor about segregation.
