Scooter company saves Hamptons drinkers from driving

At 2 a.m. on a recent Saturday, Calvin Mercer was ready as a young man stumbled out of Georgica, an East Hampton nightclub.
Mercer folded up a small Italian scooter, placed it in the man's trunk, took the keys and drove his passenger home. Then he scootered along back roads to return to the club, where he waited for the next person who has too good a time to get behind the wheel.
