Joel Rifkin

Joel Rifkin, a former resident of East Meadow, confessed to killing 17 women in the late 1980s and early 1990s and is currently serving a 203-year sentence upstate after being convicted in nine murders. He told Newsday in an interview on April 14, 2011, that the remains found in late 2010 and early 2011 near Gilgo Beach are not those of any of his victims.
