A mixed-media quilt called "In Memoriam" commemorates sex workers who have died was on display at Trinity Lutheran Church of Manhattan. Victims of the Long Island slaying and the many other people killed every year because they trade sex and become vulnerable to violence were honored with a candle lighting and name reading during a special service at the church. Red Umbrella Project and SWOP NYC (Sex Worker Outreach Project) co-sponsored the event. (Dec. 17, 2011)
