State report eyes SUNY's out-of-state tuition rate

The State University of New York charges nearly $8,500 less, on average, for undergraduate out-of-state tuition than public colleges in 19 states, according to a state comptroller's report issued Tuesday.
The report said SUNY could earn $340 million over four years if it charged the average out-of-state tuition of $21,333.
