Suffolk civil rights advocate Fred Morris, 83, dies
Fred H. Morris Jr., a Suffolk County civil rights advocate whose efforts to end police brutality and eliminate job discrimination prompted reforms and sparked controversy, died on Friday, his family said.
Morris, who was 83, died at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson of natural causes.
