Suffolk police give sex offenders Halloween warning

Officials on Long Island say police are visiting the homes of hundreds of registered sex offenders in Suffolk County this week and warning them to avoid contact with children on Halloween.
County Executive Steve Levy on Monday says detectives will remind the county’s 400 registered sex offenders that they are not allowed to decorate their homes to entice trick-or-treaters.
