After 40 years, veteran earns high school diploma
It may be 40 years late, but Kurt Wayne Johnson of Shirley finally got his high school diploma Thursday.
Under a state law known as "Operation Recognition" that allows veterans from World War II to Vietnam officially graduate if they left school early to fight for their country.
