A memorial service is planned for Wednesday night at Temple Beth El in Huntington for Annie Le, the slain Yale University graduate student whose fiance was a member of the synagogue's congregation.

The service for Le, 24, a California native engaged to Jonathan Widawsky of Huntington, will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Park Avenue temple, which is south of Route 25A, an employee in the rabbi's office said.

The employee declined to say whether the service was open to the public.

Temple Beth El clergy had been set to officiate at Le's wedding on Sept. 13, the day her body was found at a Yale animal research building. She had been missing for five days.

Her body was returned to Northern California last week. The funeral is scheduled for Saturday in El Dorado Hills.
