A vehicle crashed into a corner building housing the Bagel Cafe in Bay Shore on Thursday morning, injuring the driver and closing West Main Street between Fifth Avenue and Smith Street, Suffolk County police said.

The accident occurred at about 9:50 a.m.

No one in the store was injured in the crash. Police said the driver reportedly suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the crash was not immediately clear, and police said it remained under investigation.

A town building inspector was called to the scene to inspect the damage. Police said it was not clear how long the road would remain closed.
