Beer distributor protest snarls Melville traffic

About 400 protesters are demonstrating against beer distributor Clare RoseInc. in Melville, saying the company has hired out-of-state, non-union workers to build a new facility in Brookhaven.
The demonstrators, who wore union T-shirts and hats and honked car horns, represent several unions that say their out-of-work members would have benefitted from the work in Brookhaven.
