A teenage boy was struck and killed while riding his bicycle in Farmingdale Sunday, Nassau police said.

The boy, 14, was struck at 5:43 p.m. as he was bicycling east on Route 109 at the intersection of Staples Street, police said.

The male driver of the vehicle, which was headed north on Staples Street, remained at the scene of the accident, police said. He was not hurt.
