Brentwood man arrested in stabbing

A 45-year-old man was arrested Thursday, charged with stabbing another man during a disturbance outside a house in Brentwood, police said.

Andres Ventura Luna, of 44 Patton St., Brentwood, was charged with first-degree assault, Suffolk County police said. Police said that during a fight outside his house Thursday at 3:25 a.m., Luna stabbed acquaintance Juan Angel Argueta "multiple times."

Argueta, 42, of Brentwood, was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where he is listed in stable condition, police said.

Police did not indicate what started the argument, only that the stabbing remains under investigation.

Luna is scheduled for arraignment Friday in First District Court in Central Islip.
