An 11-year-old Brooklyn boy was pronounced dead late Sunday afternoon after being pulled, unresponsive, from the bottom of a residential pool in East Hampton, police said.

The child's identity was withheld by authorities Monday.

East Hampton Town Police did not immediately label the incident a drowning, but said the death "does not appear to be suspicious" -- and said the cause of death will be determined by the Suffolk County medical examiner.

The incident at the home on Route 114 in East Hampton was reported in a 911 call at 5:08 p.m., police said.
