PSEG Long Island and Verizon crews were working to repair a utility pole in Centereach after a car struck it Thursday morning.
A car was traveling at the intersection of Middle Country Road and Oak Street in Centereach when it left the road and hit the pole at about 6:11 a.m. The car overturned and an ambulance was called, though it was unclear whether anyone was injured, a Suffolk County police spokeswoman said.
The pole was cracked and wires were hanging low after the crash, police said. PSEG crews responded to aid Verizon workers in repairing the damage.
No outages or road closures were reported, a PSEG spokeswoman said.
