Cops: Commack man who had liver transplant missing
Police on Monday were investigating the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of a Commack man who recently had a liver transplant.
Sayed David Asghari, 25, was reported missing three days ago, after leaving his Fairfield Way home at 3:30 p.m., Suffolk police said.
"He left without taking his required medication including his antirejection medication," a Monday news release said.
Police said Asghari "may have taken the Long Island Railroad to New York City."
Police described Asghari as Middle Eastern, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, about 140 pounds, with a thin build. He has brown hair and green eyes and "a large abdominal scar from the liver transplant," police said.
"He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black jeans and blue and white sneakers," police said.
Police said Asghari may not be carrying identification.
Anyone who has information about Asghari is urged to call detectives at 631-852-6194.
