A late-night single-vehicle crash Tuesday knocked down two utility poles, forcing the closure of Holbrook Road and the entrance to Nokomis Elementary School in Holbrook, Suffolk County police said.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash, Lynne Villalba, 51, of Lake Ronkonkoma, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.

The crash occurred at 11:04 p.m., police said. There were no reported injuries.

Police said Villalba was driving her 2007 Ford Expedition on Holbrook Road when she lost control, toppling the two utility poles near the entrance to the school. The school serves students in kindergarten through the fifth grade.

Police said LIPA crews are on the scene, repairing the poles.

Police also said school officials were notified of the accident and the road closure. It was not immediately clear if the school notified parents.

The road remained closed at 6:30 a.m. between Portion Road and Express Drive North.

Villalba is scheduled for arraignment Wednesday in First District Court in Central Islip.
